For the first time ever, Collegiate Rocket League fans and students won’t need to wait until the fall season for some CRL action.

After an incredible fall season which saw the University of Arizona claim their first Collegiate Rocket League National Championship, Psyonix and Tespa are excited to announce the Spring 2019 Season of Collegiate Rocket League. Students across the United States and Canada are invited to represent their school and compete for their share of the $50,000 scholarship prize pool!

Because Rocket League recently enabled cross-platform play, this also is the first time you will be able to compete on the platform of your choice: Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.

Register Now

To register, start by creating an account on Tespa Compete and verify your student status. After that, you can either create a new team or join an existing open team from your school. If you don’t see any existing open teams from your school, you can create one that other users from your school can see and join.

If your student email or school is new to our system, please allow up to 24 hours for them to be approved. We encourage your school to designate an Official Team Manager.

Registration for the qualifier will remain open until Thursday, February 15, at 11:59pm PST, at which point all rosters are locked.

Season Format

The Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2019 Season will have two phases. First, teams that qualified in the 2018 fall season and have maintained at least 50 percent of their roster (aka 2/3rds similar to the RLCS rule) will be invited to take part in their regional conference’s portion of the bracket, with a cap of eight invitations for each conference.

The remaining eight slots will be determined through a qualifying tournament held for each region, from which the top eight performers will advance to the full bracket. In the event that a team from the fall season cannot accept their invitation, an additional slot will be given to that conference’s qualifying tournament.

Once each region has 16 teams, each conference will playout in a single elimination bracket to determine the regional champion! With 64 teams gaining entry into the CRL Spring 2019 Season, only four can come out on top as Conference Champions!
